Psychotherapy in Watford and East Central London
Welcome to my website which will give you the initial information you may need regarding counselling and psychotherapy and what it entails.
I am a professionally trained, qualified and experienced psychotherapist who specialises in Individual Psychotherapy for both adults and young adults facing a wide range of emotional difficulties.
I am based in Watford (Hertfordshire) and East Central London (both practices are easily accessible by tube, trains, bus and car).
I offer a confidential service where patients can talk about and work through their issues.
All my patients are offered an initial appointment lasting 75 minutes where they are encouraged to talk about their reasons for seeking help at this stage in their lives. This meeting is a means to meet and find out whether psychoanalytic work can be beneficial to you and if that is the case and you decide to go ahead, follow-up sessions will be held at a time and day agreed by the two of us and will last 50 minutes. We will also decide on the frequency of the sessions.
Therapy can be considered without a GP referral.
Why counselling and psychotherapy?

- Carrying overwhelming responsibilities
- Unresolved issues from the past

- Lack of a sense of purpose in life/ feelings of helplessness
- Unhappiness
- Sexuality and sexual issues/ sexual abuse
- Problems at work
- Family conflicts
- Difficulties in making and sustaining relationships
- Coming to terms with feelings of loss, trauma, bereavement or redundancy
- Feeling alone and isolated
- Inconsistent eating patterns
to:
- Wishing to develop greater self-knowledge and growth
- Looking for more meaning and fulfilment in life
This list is non-exhaustive and may give you an idea of what can be worked through in therapy.
You may wonder how counselling and psychotherapy can help?
Therapy can help you achieve greater self-awareness resulting in a better understanding of yourself, providing you with the 'tools' necessary to improve your quality of life, gaining greater resilience and control in your day to day living.
By offering a reliable, safe, non-judgemental as well as confidential space free from the pressures of life, you are given the opportunity to share your struggle and explore different ways of looking at a problem.
By making oneself aware of the unconscious patterns and behaviours, one can regain or experience a greater sense of 'self', emotional freedom and empowerment in dealing with the unknown and adapting to what comes one's way (the unexpected).
Therapy can be challenging but the rewards are often priceless. Investing in one's search for contentment and well being is the key to a fulfilled existence.
